The Lost Revisited Now is an audio podcast devoted to ABC’s Lost. My podcast name is Heath Solo and my co-host is Ms. Wendy ( www.mswendy.wordpress.com)
Our weekly format during the Lost TV season :
1. Watch the episode.
2. Then we record an initial reaction show that is recorded after the west coast episode airs on ABC. It is a podcast that captures our initial thoughts and reactions. We open the initial reaction podcast to our friends in the Lost community.
3. Then on Friday or Sunday, we do a follow up podcast where it is just me and Ms. Wendy. This is where we break down the episode :
1. Main Topics : a slight recap sets up each main topic we discuss. The main topic section of the podcasts covers the answers and amazing monets of the episode.
2. Clues & Quotes : any hidden gems that we find in the episode and great lines from the characters
3. Quick points : any thing worth mentioning
4. Theories Section : any new theories we have and we also read from listener emails
5. Lost Alums : any current/former Lost actor we saw in another medium (TV show, film, commercial, play, on the street, etc.) Our brand : We watch current Lost episodes and compare them to past episodes. We also revisit former episodes and compare them to what we know now. (usually done during the hiatus)
Ms. Wendy also created “The Bunny Awards” in which are awards we give to favorite moments in a given season.
We also have special edition podcasts called “The Lost Ramble On“. The Ramble On is a roundtable podcast in which guests from other podcasts come on and talk LOST with us. Among the podcasts that have joined us : Donald Is Lost, Nancy Drew & Lostaholics, The Black Rock Lost podcast, Jacob’s Cabin, Lost Mythos Theory Cast, Keys to Lost, Behind The Cutting Edge, No Payne No Glory, and many of friends and listeners in our Lost community .
Our podcast homebase is at Talkshoe.com and you can subscribe to us for free on iTunes. We are also a part of The Lost Podcasting Network and the Lost Theories Network.
Mr. Heath-
Thoroughly enjoy your shows. Really enjoy the insight and wisdom imparted regarding LOST. The ramble ons are wonderful and would pile on accolades to each and every podcaster involved by name, but would be remiss if I left anyone out.
I realize that this is late in the game, but I have a few nagging questions regarding this season of LOST. I will try to be concise as I don’t know if the thoughts I have are worthy of discussion or just my thinking too much. However, with the ALL-STAR lineup of podcasters (including yourself), I would be honored if you guys would consider addressing some of my ramblings.
Here goes. I have three or four thoughts at the top of my list and will share others if these prove to be worthy of your consideration.
1. Will we find the LOSTIES on the Black Rock? What I mean is, are our friends continually replaying their lives from generation to generation? Possibly improving with each passing generation.
2. What is going on in Whatever happened, happened? I have not heard it addressed (not that it may have been), but I don’t know what was going on regarding Aaron. What I mean is that Clementine does not acknowledge his presence when she answers the door and the store clerk does not acknowledge his presence and then gives Kate a crazy look when she mentions he is LOST in the store. I have the strangest sense that we were bamboozled and Aaron may only be present in Kate’s world. Anyone else see that?
3. Bernard and Rose aged significantly. This again, is something that bothers me. First, these are the only LOSTIES who have showed significant aging. They are retired and out of the game. The decision to retire apparently caused their lives to no longer be placed on hold and allowed aging to start its normal progression again. For me, it brings to question Rose. Did she truly have a supernatural realization Bernard was still alive, or was she, like Ben, privy to an idea of the future, because of a loss of innocence . Ben because of the gunshot, Rose because of cancer and Locke because of his paralysis (among other things)…
4. Who is Alpert? A great question.. From another standpoint eluded to by Widmore to Locke this season. None of the LOSTIES age either..but it is not addressed except through the visuals we get when we see Rose and Bernard aging as mentioned above. I think we will find out that the LOSTIES and Alpert will be together throughout time.
5. Is Jacob’s aversion to technology simply because advancing technology makes it easier to obtain a loophole?
Much rambling from a poor old country boy. I would be honored if the ALL-STARS would consider following up with their thoughts and ideas. Thanks again for all that you guys and gals do.
Namaste,
Andy in Alabama
Andy thank you so much. I’ll be sure to mention your questions tonite on the Lost Ramble On. July 11th, 2009.
First off I love the lost podcast and the film list podcast. Much praise across the board. I love how it’s just a big lost podcasting family and you never know whos gonna pop in. I especially like it when Mr. Bill calls in. But anyway. I had a theory I was hoping you could bring up for me on one of the podcasts. I’d really like to get some other peoples opinions on it.
It seems to me that we are being led to believe that Jacob has to be killed by the leader of the others. It’s the only thing that explains why E.L.(evil lock, loophole, whatever) went through so much trouble to get Ben all worked up into a stabby mood and then sic him on Jacob. If the killer didn’t have to be the leader he could have used anyone. Locke would’ve been perfect, he’s easy to manipulate and he loves stabbing things. It’s easy “Hey Locke, your special, now go stab that guy.”. Or Charlie “Heres some smack, now go stab that guy.”. Lets face it, getting someone stabbed on the island just isn’t that hard.
So E.L. tricks Ben, John, and Richard into thinking Locke is the leader of the others. He set up the events that led to the time shifting that allowed him to in no uncertain terms write Lockes destiny and install him as the FAKE leader of the others. He did this knowing that he later be able to use Lockes form to act as the leader of the others. This allowed him to get access to Jacob and gave him a chance to get Ben worked up and in a stabbin’ mood. So E.L.s plan worked perfect….Right.
I don’t think so. I think Jacob pulled the long con. What if Ben was never really the leader of the others. What if he was the pawn being used. Jacob forsaw the loophole and closed it by installing his own fake leader. When he said “What about you.” to Ben maybe he really meant “Guess what, your nobody”. It explains the tumor, Alex, and most importantly the fact that he has never met Jacob even though he has asked to be taken to him. And as Locke showed us, if the leader wants to see Jacob you take him. Besides what would be a bigger twist than to find out that BEN LINUS is a rube. The only thing cooler than that will be when they reveal that Hurley is the key to it all. But thats another theory.

Heath. First of all, allow me to say that you are indeed the man. You and the entire lost community continue to feed my addiction for more LOST, yeah baby! Sorry, I get a bit excited. I just wanted to thank you and Ms. Wendy for the great job that you do. I’ve listened since your first podcast and have yet to join in on any discussions, but I hope to very soon. Just in case you are curious, I’m a listener from Arkansas. Have an awesome weekend, bro!
On a commentary in season 4 , Darlton says if you look closely when Naomi talks to Frank on the boat, there are two helipads. To prove there was two helicopters on the boat!
hey there Heath Solo,
Long-time listener, first-time e-mailer. Love the LRNow and the whole Lost-casting community that’s bubbled up around the show. You and Donald and Axel are the Three Stooges (and I mean that in a good way), or the Tres Amigos, rather, of the Lost podcasting world. Had to send you this link cuz it perfectly sums up how I’m feeling about the finale:
Rock out with yer jumpsuit on, Heath,
Mike Cav
Great to hear from you Mike!
