Harold on Lost….

Below is the latest article that TV Guide did on whether Harold Perrineau would return to Lost in the final season.  Take part in the pole below, would you like to see Michael Dawson return to Lost?  I would.  Especially if he would return with that little boy, I mean, the growing teenager Walt.

Rumors are swirling that just about every past Lost cast member may be journeying back to the island – where death apparently isn’t always the end – as the series heads into its final season. But Harold Perrineau’s not packing his bags for Hawaii just yet. “I can only deny,” original cast member Perrineau told TV Guide Magazine about a possible return engagement as the seemingly deceased Michael Dawson – though a resurrection may be just a phone call away. “Nobody’s said anything to me and I haven’t asked,” said Perrineau. “One of the great things I always thought about Lost is I back up and I let them do the thing that they’re really great at doing. They’re really great and creating drama and creating their show. And this way I don’t have to ask ‘Hey, what’s this? What’s that?’ I don’t ask any questions, I just show up and I let them do what they do. They’re good at it.” That said, if the producers ring him up, Perrineau’s on the first flight to Oahu. “Of course I would show up! Are you kidding me? That’s my people!” He said he wasn’t sure if Michael could return organically back into the mythology, however. “Only if there’s some way that they’re getting back to all of those original characters that we started the journey with, and if that’s so then that makes sense to me. I don’t know other than that how it makes sense.” “But then nothing makes sense on the show, so why am I even saying this?” he laughed. Whatever happens, Perrineau is just as eager as any longtime viewer to find out the answers to the many mysteries Lost has posed over the years. “I still have questions – a ton of questions,” he explained. “I’m curious about how all that’s going to wrap up. There are just tons of things from when we first started that I’m still curious about.”

Here is a brief mention of the latest interview with ADEWALE AKINNUOYE-AGBAJE who played Mr. Eko on Lost from contactmusic.com :

British actor ADEWALE AKINNUOYE-AGBAJE is keen to get LOST again after quitting the hit desert island drama to mourn his dead parents.
The star, who played Mr. Eko on the show, asked producers to release him from his contract in 2006, so he could leave Hawaii – where the drama is filmed – and return home to England.
He tells TV Guide magazine, “It was a very traumatic year.”
But Akinnuoye-Agbaje is now hoping the show’s creators will give him and his character a second chance.
He adds, “To be able to give that rich character some completion would be nice.”

Darlton, take me back, please. Pretty please!

I don’t know what to make of this.  It is simply Adewale’s regret that he’d like to return to the show.  If he where to return, it would most likely be maybe a scene or 2 or even an episode.  A few people have said that we should  only  see him in flashback form.  I’m not sure if that would work.  We’ve seen all the flashback we need from the Eko character.  But maybe if Hurley had an island vision or Eko as a guide to the Losties on on the island.  A great way to use Eko if he helped the Losties defeat Dark Locke.  Jack is about to get killed then spirit Eko saves the day!

Honestly, I really would like to see Eko again.  It would make for a great season 6 treat.  It would really add excitement for the end and again, enhance season 2.  I think Adewale probably heard the fan out cry of missing his character.  He also probably realized that he had it made working on Lost.  But you have to give him some credit.  He was on the best show of the century, his mother was ill, and he left to be with her.  You can’t blame a son for wanting to be with his mom in her final days.  This is the first I heard of this.  If this is the case, then I think I’m even more sad.  But there is a way to make us happy again.  If they do it right, bring back Mr. Eko.  Please.  Pretty Please.

As we reported on the Lost Revisited Now podcast, Lost has added an extra hour to its’  final season.  It was planned before season 5 that the final season was going to have 17 hours.  But another hour has been added to make it a full 18 hours of Lost for season 6.  “Any time you get added Lost hours it is a very good day” shouted Donald Chavis.    So what is the chance we will get 24 hours?  1 million to none but I always like to hope.  Here is the report I found at http://lost-media.com/topics/lostnews/

Lost finds another hour for season six by Mark Medley

The final season of Lost has just gotten a bit longer: ABC announced they are adding an extra hour to the popular drama’s sixth and final season. Previously, fans were informed season six would last a paltry 17 hours; now, however, Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello reports via Twitter that the upcoming season will be a staggering 18 hours “including two-hour premiere and two-hour finale.” Lost should return to TV early in 2010.

Well Lost fans, the hiatus is upon us.  9 grueling months until the final LOST season begins.  We have options :

1. Escape to a cave and talk to no one.

2. Pass the time with new shows without comparing them to Lost.

3. Pretend there was no such thing as 5 of the best seasons of television.

4. Or have a life and enjoy it while it lasts.

But aside from the hiatus blues, I have one question for you : Will Jack and Kate come back?  What i mean is, will the old season 1 Jack and Kate please stand up?  These 2 main characters at the start of the series were suppose to be our favorites.  but along the way their characters have seem to drop to the middle of the pack.   A  few ‘pill popping and goober calling’ moments have shunned us from loving these 2 characters the last few seasons.  So, in season 6, will Jack and Kate return to Lost form?  Let me know in the pole!
