Monday January 25, 2010 2pm est on talkshoe, The Lost Revisited Now  goes live with special guests from The Lost Mythos Theory cast.  They will tackle 108 questions you need to know for Season 6.  Will they be answered?  Will they not?  Have they been answered?  Are these the questions we need to ask?  Well, a long time ago, on a blog far far away, Ms. Wendy wrote on her bunnies blog 108 questions of Lost.  SO we decided to podcast about her list, what has been answered and what ones have not, and add new questions to what will and will not be answered in season 6.

To follow along at home, here is the list for Ms. Wendy’s blog :

I’m fairly certain that we’ll get the answers to questions like ” What is the Island?”, “What is the Smoke Monster?” and ” What went wrong after the O6 left?” But before LOST “closes its doors forever”, here is a “shopping list” of some goodies ( in various levels of “importance”) I hope I can pick up on the way out. (These are in no particular order.)

1. The Red Shirt Episode : Not “Nikki and Paulo” but actual extras , folks like “Log Carrying Guy”, “Blue Stripped Half-Shirt Girl” and “Bald Guy That Looks Like Lance Kerwin“. They crashed on the Island as well, and as Arzt said “We’re people too”. I think it would be cool to see some humorous, but significant, connections to the other Losties and the Island that would explain their “longevity” .

2. The Vincent episode : If this one actually sees the light of day, I suspect it will be near, if not THE, very end. That dog’s up to something…I can FEEL it!

3. The Black Rock Episode: Big ship in the middle of the Island that is of interest to Widmore…Yeah, needs some airtime.

The Lost Ramble On 4 : Hiatus edition was very much a success.  The podcast ran for 6 hours plus and we had a strong all-star podcaster presence .  We had some of our usual suspects : Anna and Denise from Jacob’s CabinDonald from Donald is Lost,  Mr. Bill from Behind the Cutting EdgeNancy Drew from Lostaholics and Axel Foley from Lost Mythos Theory castMatt from Keys to Lost dropped by before his Saturday nite gig.

We also had some podcasters who made their TLRNow debut : Matt and Steve from The Smoke Hatch.  It was great to finally talk shop with them.  I’m a big fan of The Smoke Hatch and what they do.  Matt stayed till the end with us, he really kept the podcast going.  Thanks my brotha!

The excitement of the evening was having our favorite dynamic duo from Hawaii on : Ryan and Jen from The Transmission.  Their podcast is the first one I have ever called into.  They are very well respected in the Lost community.  Why?  Not only do they have the absolute best Lost podcast out there, but they are so kind and down to earth.  They are real people.  Though there was some audio issues at times, when they speak you listen.  Finally we got to talk Lost with them.  Me and Ms. Wendy are so thankful they took the time to hang out with us.  Thanks Ryan and Jen.  Thank you for all that you do for us.  You truly are A+!

Lost Ramble On 4 with Podcast All-Stars

As listeners to the TLRNow podcast know, me and Ms. Wendy do a segment called “Lost Alums.”  Other : Films, TV, etc. where we see Lost actors.  I had the privilege to see Public Enemies last night.  A great drama with Johnny Depp as John Dillinger.  The film had director Michael Mann’s classic feel : Hard rock and amazing shootouts.  The film had the 1080p feel, as it was shot digitally.  The film takes place in the 1930s, during the height of the Great Depression.  I liked the film, but as I ponder today, I think liked will be turned into loved.  Many great actors are in the film : Tommy from Snatch, that Brotherhood guy, Batman, and a special Lost alum.  That Lost alum was Claire, her real name, Emilie de Ravin.

Emile de Ravin on the set of 'Public Enemies'

Emile de Ravin on the set of 'Public Enemies'

We haven’t seen Emilie in Lost for over a year now, but her film career is starting to take off.  She has been coined by some as the new Indie queen (Independent films) though I have yet to hear that for myself.  But she is working.  though she was only in 1 sequence of the film, it was good to see Emilie in Public Enemies.  I mean, who wouldn’t want to be in a Michael Mann/Johnny Depp film.  Hell, give me one line and I’d be singing in the streets.  Congrats Emilie!

On June 28, 2009, myself and Ms. Wendy joined Nancy Drew on Rewatching lost with Lostaholics podcast.  I joined them on podcast 1 and 3.  Ms. Wendy was Wendy Solo on podcast 2.  But this week we both joined podcast 4 to discuss season 1 episodes :

13.  “Hearts and Minds”

14. “Special”

15. “Homecoming”

16. “Outlaws”

Ms. Wendy stayed for about 3 1/2 hours and I held on with Nancy Drew and Time is Relative for the final hour to discuss “Outlaws”.  During the podcast, Stefany Mac supplied us her amazing notes, Matt-Curt-Anna gave us some great perception, and Ms. Wendy showed us those clues that only she could find.

I had to stick around to discuss one of my all-time favorite LOST scenes : Christian and Sawyer in the bar in Australia.

That's why the Sox will never win the series.

That's why the Sox will never win the series.

Just a fantastic scene that showed the weakness of Christian Shepard and the uncertainty of James Ford.  Well, when one looks for answers at the bottom of a bottle, it usually winds up empty.
